If You’re Secretly Annoyed by Your Members… Read This

When founders say:

“I’m drained.”
“This isn’t fun anymore.”
“I love my business, but not my members…”

There’s always a deeper issue under the surface.

It’s not always your fault.
But it’s always your responsibility.

Ask yourself these 3 questions to find the root of the disconnect.

1. Is It the Members or the Experience?

If members are constantly:

  • Asking the same questions

  • Getting stuck

  • Complaining more than celebrating

It’s not them.
It’s your systems.

Start by auditing:

  • Your deliverables

  • Your onboarding

  • Your platform setup

  • Your full Member Journey Map

If your team is burned out answering the same thing 37 times a week, that’s not a member issue.
That’s a design flaw.

Fix the friction, and the tone of your entire community shifts.

2. Are You Attracting the Right People?

Sometimes your systems are solid, but your people don’t fit anymore.

That’s normal.

As you grow, your energy changes.
So should your audience.

Ask:

  • Do I still want to serve beginners?

  • Am I craving more advanced, high-touch work?

  • Do my sales messages reflect who I actually want to lead?

You don’t have to burn it down.
You might just need to reposition or restructure to align with your next phase.

3. Have You Defined the Culture?

You can have great members and strong systems, and still feel off.

That’s a culture gap.

Inside the Community Cultivated Framework, we teach:

  • Beliefs – What we stand for

  • Behaviors – How we show up

  • Boundaries – What we allow or don’t

Culture isn’t automatic.
It’s intentional.

If you don’t set the tone, your members will, and that’s when things drift.

Reset the vibe. Reinforce the expectations. Reclaim your space.

Make the Shift

Do what’s necessary to get in alignment.

Rebuild the journey. Attract the right audience. Reset your culture.

You’ll fall back in love with your community.

You’ll show up with energy and clarity.
Your members will respond positively.
And yes, so will your bottom line.

Your Turn

If you're secretly annoyed by your members, don’t power through.
Pause. Ask:

  • Is it the experience?

  • Is it the positioning?

  • Is it the culture?

Then fix the part that’s broken.

Because nothing kills momentum faster than leading a membership you can’t stand to be in.
